Asteroids Game
Although this game has been around for several decades, it's still just as fun and challenging as it was when it debuted. One of the reasons that this game is so challenging is because it's always different. While you can memorize the sequence of many games, this isn't the case with Asteroids. Each time you start this game, it's a new challenge and set of obstacles to overcome.
Once you press the button to load the game, it will begin. You will see your spaceship in the middle of the screen. In addition to the blackness that surrounds your spaceship, you will also see asteroids floating around. Your goal is to destroy these asteroids by shooting them. However, don't think that all you have to do is shoot the asteroids once. As you will see when you shoot one of the large asteroids, they don't simply disappear. Instead, they split into smaller asteroids. After you shoot a large asteroid, you will have to land six more shots to destroy all the remnants of that asteroid.
To shoot, press the space bar. To realign your shots, use the left and right arrows keys to rotate your spaceship. You can also use the up and down arrow keys to move your spaceship. However, once you start moving, you have to be careful not to collide with any asteroids. In addition to destroying the asteroids, you also have to keep an eye out for the spaceships that will fly across the screen and shoot at you.
